Job Title: Plant Mechanic
Location: Penrith, NSW
Start Date: Flexible
Shift Times: 8-hour shifts, flexible between 6:30am and 5:00pm
About the Role:
Our client in Penrith is looking for a skilled and reliable Plant Mechanic to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for the general servicing and maintenance of their hire equipment. The position offers flexibility in start times within the window of 6:30am to 5:00pm for 8-hour shifts. While the preferred start date is the first week of April, earlier start dates are possible for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular servicing and maintenance on a range of hire equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues with plant machinery
• Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with industry standards
• Record service and repair work accurately
• Maintain a clean and organized workshop
• Collaborate with the team to ensure equipment readiness and quality

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Plant Mechanic or similar role
• Strong mechanical skills and a deep understanding of plant machinery
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical faults
• Solid knowledge of safety standards and maintenance procedures
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Ability to work within flexible shift times
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, managing your own workload effectively
