Claims Advisor – Commercial Property Claims TeamAn exciting opportunity is available for a Claims Advisor to join a leading global insurer’s Commercial Property Claims Team.
This role provides the chance to manage property claims from start to finish while contributing to the success of a highly respected claims handling team.
Key Responsibilities:
Claim Management:
- Manage a portfolio of property claims from inception to resolution, ensuring accurate data and reserves.
- Develop and implement clear strategies for claim resolution, communicating effectively with customers.
- Maintain internal diaries for follow-ups, closures, and ensure claims are handled in accordance with best practices.
- Make payments as necessary to settle and close files efficiently.
- Ensure claims are managed within required service levels to meet customer expectations.
- Adhere to industry standards and guidelines, including GICOP and CAT GiCoP requirements.
- Maintain high internal Quality Assurance standards.
- Address and resolve complaints using the company’s disputes framework.
- Manage claims under the Large Loss handling framework.
- Provide support to the wider Property Claims Team, particularly during high-demand periods such as storms and catastrophes, and cover for colleagues during periods of leave or illness.
- Authorise peer payments and referrals within the claims handling framework.
- Manage phone lines during surge phone periods.
- Complete mandatory training and attend meetings/workshops as required.
- Liaise with key stakeholders, including Assessors, Hydrologists, Builders, and Solicitors.
- Some travel may be required for site visits.
- Work with a leading global insurer known for its excellent claims handling reputation.
