About the Role:
We are looking for a Design Technology Specialist to join our Melbourne Studio. This is the perfect role for someone who is keen to support the ongoing development and implementation of technology platforms across our national practice.
Working with the National Design Technology Team and reporting to the Digital + Design Technology Manager, we need someone who is passionate about design technology and helping people upskill and stay up to date with the latest software and workflows for the Architecture and Design Space.
This role is ideal for someone who can see the big picture while supporting staff across a diverse range of software and digital processes. It requires collaborating with team members of varying skill levels and serving as a key point of contact for studio and national support. Additionally, the role involves working closely with the IT Team and the Digital + Design Technology Manager to oversee hardware and software management within the studio.

About You:

In addition to this, you will need:
- Documented experience in supporting Design Technology and Revit use in project delivery.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to listen and drive consensus through relationship building and ability to win the trust of teammates and project teams
- Advanced skills in design authoring platform Autodesk Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud,
- An understanding of and experience in computational design platforms and visual programming such as Rhino, Grasshopper and Dynamo.
- Skills in Autodesk Construction Cloud, Aconex, Bluebeam, Adobe suite, Recap and Forma will be highly regarded
- An understanding of VR/AR hardware and software including Quest, Twinmotion and Enscape would also be highly regarded.
About the Role:
As a growing Design Technology Specialist, you will be responsible for training and supporting staff in the Melbourne studio while also contributing nationally to best practices in BIM. Your role will include conducting model reviews, troubleshooting issues, implementing Documentation Standards and QA processes, and educating staff on emerging technologies and workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Design Technology training and support
- Help build the brand and ecosystem for Design Technology in the firm
- Proactively training staff on best case workflows and processes
- Manage and address helpdesk tickets for design technology
- Project Technology Execution Plan development, implementation, and support
- Development, implementation and support of tools, templates, and workflows
- Champion digital transformation and cultural change in the studio
- Collaborate with other Design Technology Specialists on requirements and priorities
- Research emerging technologies including AI and define use-cases
- Represent our firm through speaking engagements and industry events
- Partner with Designers throughout the practice to enable better use of technology throughout the firm
