Description:
The Office of the Governor provides advice and support to the Governor of Victoria. It also supports constitutional and ceremonial duties, manages an extensive program of engagements and visits for the Governor throughout Victoria and overseas, and undertakes various works at Government House.
The Protocol and Program Team is responsible for the delivery of the official Government House program. The Team is responsible for policy, protocol and logistical matters as well as providing direct support to the Governor and the Official Secretary on a day-to-day basis.
The Aide to the Governor role sits within the Protocol and Program Team and assists with the delivery of the ceremonial, community and constitutional elements of the Governor's official program. The Aide to the Governor plays a key role in providing advice on matters of protocol, and ensures that all necessary arrangements and briefings are prepared for engagements and visits at Government House, throughout Victoria and overseas.
