VCAT
The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) is a justice service that resolves a wide range of disputes for the Victorian community, including renting, planning, and consumer disputes. VCAT is committed to delivering an accessible service for all Victorians and is transforming our digital products and services to make it faster, easier, and more convenient for people to come to the tribunal.
VCAT has embarked on a service transformation focused on delivering enhanced digital service, providing easier access to services, developing stronger connections with service partners through technology integrations and digital workflows and building an empowered and capable workforce who are receptive and ready for change.
About the Role
The role is responsible for managing the effective operation of VCAT's Regional Services, ensuring high-quality service delivery and hearing management to the Victorian community.
Some of the key requirements will be to:
* lead, direct and motivate staff and be responsible for the management and development of CBV Managers
* manage and maintain the effective operation of VCAT's Regional Services ensuring the delivery of high-quality service, hearing management and support services to the Victorian community
* develop further strategies to optimise the existing infrastructure and expansion of VCAT services across Victoria
* oversee the implementation of VCAT services at Wyndham Law Courts
* identify areas of process improvement and recommend soutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
* participate and collaborate on the refinement of VCAT's operating model and move to the new CBD location and how that aligns with regional service delivery
* initiate, build and enhance internal and external stakeholder relationships regarding VCAT's presence across locations; both current and potential future.
About You
The preferred candidate will have demonstrated:
* experience in leadership and people management within a front-line service delivery environment
* ability to apply and provide advice on complex legislation relating to the jurisdictions of VCAT
* experience in implementing continuous improvement initiatives
* management experience within a court or tribunal environment highly desirable
* strong stakeholder management and communication skills
A tertiary qualification in a relevant field is highly desirable.
