Job Title: Telecommunications Systems Engineer
Location: Melbourne, Hybrid Working Arrangements (3 - 4 days a week in office)
Duration: 6 months contracts + potential extension

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Telecommunication Systems Engineer to support the Enterprise Network Modernization Program (ENMP). The ideal candidate will handle technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analysis, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. This role covers all stages of the system product lifecycle, ensuring customer requirements are converted into total systems solutions within technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analysis, and supportability and effectiveness analyses.
  • Analyze the impact of changes on existing baselines.
  • Conduct analyses at all levels of the system product lifecycle.
  • Ensure customer requirements are converted into total systems solutions.
  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition.
  • Lead the creation of Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and derive requirements from customer specifications.
  • Estimate project costs and author trade studies.
  • Lead Change Request (CR) development processes and manage the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Participate in system design gate reviews and manage/define system interfaces.
  • Develop and deliver technical documentation.
  • Conduct trade analysis and manage subcontract technical requirements.
  • Provide team leadership and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Engineering Degree with 9+ years of relevant experience, or Post Graduate Engineering Degree with 7+ years of related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
  • RPEQ and RPEng Registration in Queensland and Victoria.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing and virtualization technologies.
  • Relevant certifications such as INCOSE ASEP, CSEP, or similar.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
