The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Field Technician to join our team in Ballarat, VIC. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting soil samples, performing basic vehicle maintenance, and assisting with administrative tasks. This role is integral to our operations, ensuring accurate data collection and equipment upkeep.

What You'll Do:
As a field technician, you will be required to carry out (but not limited to) the following:
- Collect samples from cold storage and arrange transportation to laboratories
- Perform basic maintenance on vehicles as required
- Conduct basic administrative tasks
- Undertake soil sampling adhering to all processes, including:
- Strategic deep-core and shallow soil sampling
- Grid-based soil sampling
- EM38 and elevation mapping
- Marking out locations for water management designs and on-farm trials
- Accurately record and report productivity measures
- Follow biosecurity procedures to ensure equipment cleanliness
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Ensure timely distribution of soil samples to appropriate laboratories
- Report any maintenance requirements for vehicles and equipment
- Adhere to all relevant company policies and procedures

Your Skills and Experience:
To be considered for the role, you will need to meet the following requirements:
- Valid Australian driver's licence permitting the towing of a trailer
- Basic trailer towing experience
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Intermediate computer skills
