Position Summary:
Oversee the daily communications and operations of the kitchen in collaboration with the Head Chef
Liaise daily with culinary team regarding all aspects of food production, set ups & timings for daily events
Lead and develop the kitchen team through coaching and feedback
Assists the Head Chef in ensuring the quality, consistency and production of areas of responsibility
Maintain organisational skills to ensure your section is clean and runs efficiently throughout each service period
Understand guest requirements and deliver service excellence with each customer experience
Ensure compliance to Work, Health and Safety, Hygiene and HACCP standards
Showcase your passion when assisting with menu design and outlet concepts
A bout You:
Good management and cooking skills, menu development knowledge.
Previous experience as a Sous Chef, Jr Sous or Senior Chef de partie.
Microsoft word, excel and ordering knowledge of Birch street people soft or similar platforms
Worked in a hotel or fast paced restaurants more than 5 years
Attention to detail with focus on quality and consistency.
Strong communication with interpersonal skills.
Good leader and a team player and drive positive environment.
Managing a small team and self managing daily operations with minimal supervision.
Taking ownership and accountability of kitchen operations.
