What we are looking for :
We are seeking a full time Junior Product Developer to join our Engineering Team. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for supporting the R&D and Engineering teams in the development and refinement of new and existing products. This role involves hands-on prototyping, CAD modelling, and assisting in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiencies and product quality.
The role is based onsite at our HQ in Scoresby.
What the role entails :
- Design, model, and assemble prototype frames and foams using CAD (Autodesk), ensuring manufacturability, structural integrity, and design feasibility
- Assist with fabric pattern digitisation and development via AccuMark
- Produce and maintain CAD drawings, models, tools, construction drawings, and legacy updates
- Support Bill of Materials (BOM) management, including legacy range reviews, new range setup, and process refinement
- Assist in developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Contribute to the production of upholstery models, tools, and prototypes, ensuring efficient and high-quality manufacturing techniques
- Participate in prototype testing and provide feedback to improve design and manufacturability
- Assist in tracking project progress, maintaining documentation, and ensuring deadlines are met
- Provide updates on prototype progress and recommend design or process improvements
- Assist in training factory staff on new products or equipment implementations
- Adhoc administration duties
