Technical Solutions Specialist | Brisbane

Heidelberg Materials is currently seeking a Technical Solutions Specialist to join our Technical Excellence Centre based in Brisbane, QLD. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about data analysis, hold a strong work ethic and are results focused.

In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining our cutting-edge Dynamic Mix Control (DMC) system, which is used to create, maintain, and optimise thousands of our concrete mix designs. Your responsibilities will include utilising advanced analytical tools in addition to effective communication and collaboration with regional technical teams to optimise product performance, sustainability, and cost within the DMC system.

In your new role, you will:

  • Use advanced analytical tools in Microsoft Excel to conduct daily reviews and corrective actions of compressive strength performance trends.

  • Provide specialist technical support to the business by assisting staff with the selection and creation of products in the DMC system.

  • Maintain the DMC system and the associated master data.

  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with regional technical teams.

  • Maintain a national quality management system for the DMC (processes, raw materials, and products).

  • Manage system change requests to maintain a balance of system versatility and cost of maintenance.

  • Share best practice mix design philosophy and opportunities for improvement across regions.

This role is a great fit for you if you have:

  • A bachelor's degree, preferably in a STEM-related field.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience with SAP, Analysis for Excel, and Tableau (desirable but not mandatory).

  • Experience with ready-mix concrete supply processes and technology (desirable but not mandatory).
