About the opportunity
Are you a proactive leader with a passion for healthcare and team management? We are seeking an experienced leader to join our GMHBA Belmont Hub in the fulltime Practice Manager role. The Practice Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and efficiency of the practice to support the patient experience and ensuring high-quality clinical care. The position is responsible for ensuring the practice maintains a safety and quality focus to deliver optimal care, and a high standard of performance in line with GMHBA strategy, goals and values.


The Belmont GMHBA Hub is a purpose-built facility that opened in 2023 featuring modern, contemporary designed consulting rooms and technology. The Hub brings together medical, dental, podiatry and physiotherapy with an adjoining pharmacy. The multi-disciplinary centre offers convenience for Geelong residents who require a range of health care providers, making it easier for patients to see connected health services in a single location.


Skills And Experiences

About you
As our ideal candidate, you’ll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high performing team
• Proven experience in successfully leading a complex or multi-modality medical setting, with demonstrated success in delivering high performance outcomes and growth.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking skills with an eye for detail
• Commercial mindset, with solid understanding of financial and performance based KPI’s.
• Demonstrated ability to lead with empathy and a patient centred focus.
• Knowledge of health related Practice Management systems, financial processes and transactions and practice accreditation requirements within the healthcare setting
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail systems, and web-based patient management systems.
• VCE or equivalent Diploma

Desirable
• Experience with practice software Best Practice & Exact.
• Training and/or experience in management of emergencies, handling complaints, Medicare & health funds, basic infection control, safe handling & disposal of medical waste, etc
• Diploma in Practice Management or related qualification
• CPR and first aid certificate
• An understanding of medical terminology, medical and allied health professional organisations and relevant stakeholders
