Join us at AZZO, where we’re committed to delivering integrated technology solutions for a sustainable future. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Field Service Technician to join our team in our Melbourne Office.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems on-site, ensuring our technology solutions operate efficiently. If you have a strong electrical background and enjoy hands-on work in the field, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret electrical drawings & bill of materials (BOM) to assemble & wire up electrical control & metering panels in the AZZO workshop.
- Test & configure electrical devices & record results for factory acceptance testing (FAT).
- Perform onsite electrical testing, commissioning & site acceptance testing (SAT).
- Trouble-shoot and diagnose faults in electrical devices including: Energy & PQ meters, IOT & networking devices & PLCs
- Ability to access SCADA systems to assist with fault-finding devices
- Repair & fault-find general low and extra-low voltage electrical equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and specifications.
- Supervise and mentor apprentices, providing guidance and ensuring work is completed to required safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the Services & Engineering team, supervisors, management, and sub-contractors to achieve required delivery & performance targets.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Relevant electrical trade qualification
- Electrical License
- Experience in industrial control or energy /building management systems or automation is highly regarded
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with electrical safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with IT networking systems is desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
