About the role:

The Application Support Developer helps ensure platform stability, currency, and continuous improvement. This team acts as the conduit between operations (Billing, Credit, Networks, and Metering) and retail technology, driving continuous improvement, safeguarding production, and collaborating with operations to ensure seamless technology performance.

With a primary focus on platform support, this role is responsible for monitoring, resolving incidents, managing minor enhancements, and ensuring that platforms remain current and reliable. This role bridges the gap between IT and operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive system reliability, manage incidents, and deliver minor developments to support business growth

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Incident and Problem Resolution: Manage incident and problem tickets for Mulesoft, billing systems, and digital platforms, troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly to minimise business disruption.
  • Basic Development and Customisation: Perform targeted development tasks, such as but not limited to scripting and workflow customisation, to support business requirements across Mulesoft, and digital platforms.
  • Platform Configuration and Optimisation: Configure systems for optimal performance and reliability, ensuring scalability and alignment with evolving business processes.
  • Integration Management: Support and troubleshoot integrations across Mulesoft, and other platforms, collaborating with IT and business teams to maintain seamless workflows.
  • Proactive Monitoring and Root Cause Analysis: Monitor system health and conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues, maintaining a knowledge base for reference.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure all configurations and developments adhere to security protocols and compliance standards, supporting audit readiness.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance system performance, and improve user experience.

About you:

  • Demonstrated capability with development technologies relevant to Momentum's platforms. Digital (React, .NET, AngularJS), AWS, Jira, and GitHub.
  • Demonstrate understanding of billing processes, data flows or Tally’s Orion platform and SQL.
  • Understanding in Anypoint studio, anypoint platform and Runtime manager and demonstrate knowledge in Integration patterns (eg request-response)
  • Knowledge of API-led connectivity principles and designing reusable APIs.
  • Proven experience in managing incidents and providing technical support within agile delivery and DevOps environments.
  • Experience in systems administration, particularly in customer-centric, ITIL-based organisations.
  • Familiarity with the Australian energy market (desirable).
