We are currently seeking a motivated Accounts Payable Officer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. About the Role:
Reporting to the Finance Manager and working collaboratively among a close knit team, the role will include but not be limited to:
- Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process including invoice processing, verification, and payment processing.
- Deal with aging accounts payable data
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in processing invoices and expense claims.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain vendor relationships and respond to inquiries in a professional manner.
- Assist in month-end closing processes and preparation of accounts payable reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as procurement and finance teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounts payable procedures and systems.
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required by the finance manager or senior management.
About You:
To be considered as a successful applicant for this business, you will be an experienced accounts payable officer. You bring a strong attention to detail and a systematic approach to managing financial transactions. With a proven track record in processing invoices accurately and efficiently, you thrive in ensuring that payments are processed in a timely manner while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. Your ability to reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders sets you apart. You are adept at leveraging accounting software to streamline processes and contribute to the overall efficiency of the finance function. Proactive and adaptable, you are committed to maintaining high standards of integrity and accuracy in all aspects of your work, making you an invaluable asset to our team. The ideal individual will have a reliable and positive attitude, a willingness to provide support in a team environment, and have a keen eye for detail. You will have strong time management skills and prior experience in a busy finance environment.
