A leading multi-national freight forwarder is seeking an experienced Import Sea Operations Specialist to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end processing of import sea freight shipments. To be considered, you must have prior experience in import sea operations within the freight forwarding industry.Key Responsibilities:
- Job registration and documentation
- Monitoring cargo availability and status updates
- Cargo automation management
- Organising & lodging underbond movements
- Finalising invoices for clients and overseas agents
- Third-party billings and quoting
- Monitoring the movement of transhipment cargo
- Collection & handover of delivery orders and EDOs
- Arranging local & interstate road & rail movements
- Liaising with shipping lines, freight forwarders, overseas agents, customers, suppliers, and internal staff
- Import sea experience in a freight forwarding environment is essential
- CargoWise experience essential and ICS experience highly desired
- Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel
- High level of attention to detail and strong data entry skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
