Are you looking for casual relief teaching role up to 3 days per week as a Literacy and Numeracy specialist supporting students completing a Certificate II in Construction.

About the Role

We are seeking a suitability qualified Literacy and Numeracy specialist to join our team at our Bairnsdale Campus providing support to students as they complete the Certificate II in Construction Pathways course. The Certificate II in Construction Pathways course is for those aiming to secure an apprenticeship in the construction sector and is delivered in a practical, hands-on delivery model.

As a Teacher Literacy and Numeracy, you work in close collaboration with our vocational teaching staff to deliver high-quality sessions tailored to support students in developing essential literacy and numeracy skills. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that students acquire the foundational skills necessary to succeed in their pathway qualification. You will design and implement engaging learning experiences that align with the student’s vocational pathway, fostering their academic growth and empowering them to apply literacy and numeracy effectively in their future careers.

In this dynamic and rewarding role, you will contribute to the overall student experience by identifying and addressing individual and group learning needs, facilitating interactive sessions, and providing support to ensure students achieve their learning goals.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Hold at minimum Bachelor of Education and/or higher Education qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in teaching literacy and numeracy
  • Evidence of industry currency including VIT registration
  • Driver’s License
