About the Role
Directly reporting to the Branch Manager, the incumbent is responsible of the effective management of the branch rental fleet and sales of used equipment.
You will be responsible for:
- Plan, manage and co-ordinate the rental and used equipment activities of the Branch.
- Develop used equipment sales and rental opportunities with a view of increased market share and Branch financial sustainability.
- Manage the transport requirements (both intrastate and interstate) of the Branch in accordance with Australian Standards to ensure compliance is achieved at all times. Transport should also be controlled to ensure efficient, cost effective, customer satisfaction and good commercial outcomes are consistently delivered.
- Manage the purchase, predelivery and sale of traded equipment and ex rental fleet trucks transferred for sale.
- Develop the skills and expertise of the rental team, using the annual performance review process as the foundation for employee development.
- Recommend process/product improvements to the Branch Manager.
- Liaise with Branch Manager and GM Rental & Used Equipment to ensure company policy is adhered to in areas of responsibility.
Skills and Experience:
- Formal qualification in Sales and/or Business commerce
- Proven record in sound Rental and/or Sales management;
- Comprehensive product knowledge
- Previous experience in sales/service, preferably in the Materials Handling industry.
Well established financial acumen including strong budgeting and P&L skills - Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
