The Opportunity:

We have a great opportunity for a dynamic experienced Pre-construction Manager to support the pipeline of new business opportunities through leading bids and the project conversion process, with a focus on identifying value engineering, design and client engagement opportunities that will increase the conversion success rate

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Lead the development of a bid conversion strategy that includes client and stakeholder engagement, value design and engineering and opportunities to share value for the Company and the client.
• Manage overall design procurement process and construction methodologies for tenders, proposing alternate design and construction opportunities as part of the value engineering agenda and design development phases to provide value to the Company and the client.
• Cultivate strong relationships with external stakeholders throughout the preconstruction phases including clients, consultants and industry partners to support new business and increased pipeline opportunities in line with the business plan.
• Review design and construction methodologies for tenders/ECIs, proposing alternate design and construction opportunities as part of the value engineering agenda and design development phases to provide value to the Company and the client.
• Proactively engage with the project delivery team for secured projects to ensure a successful handover from pre to post contract through sharing detailed information from the bid about the client, the construction and design management phases and be available to the project team as they move on to site operations.
• Proactively engage with clients providing advice around the design and construction of commercial project proposals with a focus on reducing risk and increasing opportunity through smart design.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Experience in new business, bid or project leadership positions, preferably in the construction, engineering, or similar project management environments.

• Solid stakeholder management skills establishing rapport and influencing stakeholders that results in effective lasting trusted partnerships.
• Has an established industry network and profile and a track record of delivering new business.
• A proven ability to inspire and lead teams that deliver strong outcomes.
