Avant Mutual are looking to hire an Actuarial Analyst on a permanent, full-time basis in our Sydney CBD office . This role will see you developing an in-depth understanding of our pricing operations and delivering analysis and analytics to assist in optimising these operations and portfolios.
The key responsibilities include:
- Deliver actuarial analysis to support pricing, portfolio management and optimisation of risk intervention outcomes.
- Support reporting for pricing and claims monitoring.
- Support analytics for portfolio monitoring.
- Deliver high quality and technically sound advice that provides strategic insight for Avant’s business.
- Support the development of the Pricing and Analytics team’s vision and deliver Avant’s approach to technical support for pricing and portfolio management, including reporting, monitoring and analysis.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Bachelor of Actuarial Studies degree required.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking ability, with drive and determination to achieve outcomes.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Experience in various software packages such as SAS, Python, SQL, Qlik Sense, Tableau etc. is highly desirable.
