How will I help?
As a Product Manager, within Liquidity Product Management at Westpac, you will play a pivotal role in improving our deposit product suite within Global Transactions Services (GTS) in Westpac Institutional Bank. Your efforts will focus on optimising transactional, investment, and working capital solutions to better serve our institutional customers. By driving simplification and preparing for the transition to real-time treasury, you will significantly improve customer outcomes and ensure our offerings remain competitive and relevant.
Reporting to the Product Director, Liquidity Management, you will also champion a strong risk culture that aligns with Westpac's ethics and integrity. Balancing commercial objectives with customer needs, you will support the development of innovative Liquidity solutions while maintaining the highest standards of risk management.
This role is responsible for:
- Establishing subject matter expertise, including external market knowledge, needed to underpin intelligent decision-making for GTS Deposit product suite
- Developing and driving customer centric strategies to uplift customer engagement, balance growth and P&L performance of GTS Deposit products
- Own and manage the end-to-end product lifecycle including product and solution development, management, and simplification
- Working with risk stakeholders to assess risks pertaining to the products and actively seek to reduce risk for the business, including addressing key risk areas, issues and incidents.
- Supporting collaborators across multiple Distribution teams, Finance, Digital, Technology, Risk, and Operations to ensure seamless integration and execution of Liquidity Management Solutions to improve customer and commercial outcomes.
- Deep understanding of financial drivers and market conditions impacting allocated products with the ability to plan and make recommendations to manage threats or opportunities.

You’ll be set up for success in your transition to the role. With a team of 4 Sydney-based colleagues, you’ll collaborate in person in our Kent Street office to re-group and connect with 3 Product Managers and the Product Director.

What do I need?
To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of four years of practical experience in areas such as cash management, product management in payments or experience in Transaction banking sales and development. Demonstrated success in developing customer value propositions is essential. The ability to think strategically, be innovative, take a problem-solving approach and achieve objectives in a changing environment is crucial. Additionally, commercial acumen is highly valued.

- Tertiary qualification in economics, finance, business or in a related field of study
