A fantastic opportunity has arisen with a fast-growing, dynamic company based in Shailer Park. With the recent acquisition of two new businesses, our client is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Credit Lead to join their finance team and play a pivotal role in managing their debtors ledger and overseeing a team of two AR Officers.
About the Role:
This is a newly created position that offers the chance to make a significant impact in a company on the move. As the Credit Lead, you will manage an active portfolio of around 3,000 accounts, ensuring timely payments and working with branch managers, account managers, and supervisors to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and resolve any unpaid invoices.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the management of the debtors ledger and the daily operations of the AR team.
- Investigating overdue invoices, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring prompt follow-up for payment.
- Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, including branch and account managers, to facilitate smooth communication and efficient payment collection.
- Providing detailed reports and reconciliations, ensuring the debtors ledger aligns across various systems.
- Using your strong accounting skills to bridge the gap between two different CRM systems (invoices are generated in CRMs, while the debtors ledger runs on Dynamics).
- Using intermediate MS Excel skills (pivot tables, sumifs, etc.) to perform reconciliations and reporting tasks.
About You:
The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with an eye for detail and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. You will bring a proven track record in managing a large debtors ledger, along with the ability to lead a small team effectively. Strong accounting skills are essential, especially in reconciling discrepancies across multiple systems.
Key skills and experience required:
- Solid experience in a credit or accounts receivable role, with a proven ability to manage a large number of accounts.
- Proficient with Dynamics or similar accounting systems, and comfortable working across multiple platforms.
- Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, sumifs, and other complex functions).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with internal teams.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
