About the role:
Aurizon is currently looking for a qualified Locomotive Maintainer (Diesel Fitter preferred) to join our Gladstone maintenance depot. Working on Locomotives within a well organised and thriving workshop this is a great opportunity to be part of a stable organisation that values both its people and safety alike. You will be responsible for:
- Performing complex troubleshooting, fault rectification duties, repairs, modifications and preventative maintenance procedures on rollingstock.
- Supervising, mentoring and assisting the development of apprentices and Locomotive Maintainers.
- Utilising and inputting accurate data into information and Maintenance Management Systems.
- Assisting with the implementation and development of quality improvement in the area to enhance customer service
About you
- Must hold a mechanical trade certificate, Diesel Fitter preferred.
- Heavy industry maintenance or mining background
- Strong commitment to safety.
- High level skill in trouble shooting, fault rectification & preventative maintenance of rollingstock.
- Adequate level of skill in interpreting technical instructions and drawings
- Sound computer literacy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
