Randalls Equipment Co (VIC) Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced, dedicated, and qualified full-time Forestry Equipment Engineer (Mechanical Engineer) to join their team.
The Forestry Equipment Engineer is a key member of the management team and will be responsible for providing specialist knowledge for establishment, planning and overseeing the safe and efficient management and operation of the Customer Service function. The Forestry Equipment Engineer will ensure the Service team is appropriately resourced and trained to meet our customers’ needs whilst ensuring our labour and warranty costs are managed in accordance with the company’s goals and objectives.
Duties:
- Analysing workforce utilisation, facility layout, operational data and production schedules and costs to determine optimum worker and equipment efficiencies
- Organising and managing project labour and the delivery of materials, plant and equipment
- Establishing standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection and maintenance according to engineering principles and safety regulations
- Inspecting equipment to ensure optimum performance is maintained
- Directing the maintenance of equipment, and coordinating the requirements for surveys and maintenance schedules
- Drive a strong Safety & Environmental performance culture in every aspect of daily work.
- Provide leadership and support to the other members of the team.
- Actively support all reasonable requests from the Managing Director.
- Consistently follow the organisation’s policies and procedures.
- Participate in and complete both internal and external training programs
Qualification: - A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar.
- Understanding of Customer Service functions, processes and procedures.
- Technical competence sufficient to interpret customer requirements and understand technical manuals.
- Experience working in the heavy equipment industry is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- A commitment to following standard work practices.
- Ability to produce a quality outcome and continuously improve own work.
- The ability to work without supervision
A remuneration package between $70,000 to $150,000 per annum plus superannuation will be negotiated depending on skills and experience.
