You will:
- Lead the revenue determination process program of work, ensuring compliance with National Electricity Rules and Australian Energy Regulator (AER) requirements.
- Develop and manage key stakeholder relationships including engaging with the Consumer Advisory Panel, ensuring consumer views are incorporated into our regulatory submissions and project activities.
- Proactively engage with the AER, AEMO, AEMC, policymakers and industry bodies to advocate for regulatory and policy reforms, preparing well-reasoned submissions and representing Marinus Link at working groups and external forums.
- Oversee economic analysis and market modelling, assessing customer pricing impacts and identifying opportunities for the project.
- Manage external specialist advisors, leveraging expert knowledge to enhance regulatory and commercial strategies.
- Develop the commercial telecommunications business case, contributing to Marinus Link’s broader strategy.
- Represent Marinus Link at a senior level, ensuring effective communication and coordination across internal and external stakeholders.
You’ll Need
- Extensive working knowledge of the Australian Energy Industry, the National Electricity Market and regulatory environment as it relates to the development of major electricity infrastructure projects, with complementary experience in financial, strategic or general business management.
- Qualifications in a relevant field (Business, Commerce, Economics) together with an understanding of economic regulation and financial models.
- A track record of leading high-level stakeholder engagement, particularly with government bodies, regulatory agencies and consumer advocacy groups.
- Experience managing policy submissions, regulatory reporting and compliance requirements.
- Commercial acumen, with the ability to assess and clearly articulate business risks, pricing models and regulatory frameworks to various audiences.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
- A collaborative and strategic leadership style, with experience mentoring teams and managing specialist advisors.
