The Role
Our Salisbury site in Adelaide's northern suburbs manufactures a range of more than 78 milk and milk-based products. This site is a combined production and distribution facility producing well-known brands such as Pura, Dairy Farmers, Farmers Union, and Feel Good; and distributes across predominantly SA and NT, but also NSW and VIC.
This role reports to the Technical Leader and involves supporting all site teams in maintaining, coordinating, and monitoring the site's quality systems and processes. The goal is to ensure compliance with quality, food safety, and environmental standards while meeting customer and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate must be flexible and available for the on-call roster over the weekends.
Responsibilities
- Implement, maintain, and monitor compliance with the site's Quality, Food Safety, and Environmental System.
- Ensure all site policies and procedures are current and meet Bega Group's Quality and Technical requirements.
- Manage and coordinate the site's GMP/Internal audit schedule, track audit completion, and conduct internal and GMP audits.
- Act as the primary contact for all food safety, quality, and environmental incidents at the site, and assist site teams with problem-solving, investigations, and raising Quality Incidents (QIs) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) in Intelex.
- Support the development and delivery of training programs related to Food Safety, Quality, and the Environment across all areas and teams.
About you
- Tertiary qualification in Food Science or a related field
- Experience in a similar quality role within the FMCG sector
- Strong background in HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Previous experience with GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) standards is a plus
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
