About The RoleThe Supply department is responsible for the leadership, management and delivery of Burnside Hospital’s (BH) stores operations including delivery receipt, internal restocking and ordering, and is pivotal to the functioning of the Hospital, contributing to the achievement of its mission, values and business objectives.
The Materials Resource Clerk reports to the Supply Manager and is responsible for warehousing responsibilities including materials handling and inventory control, ordering and invoicing, and ensuring safe operations and control standards in the Supply department.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity, Monday-Friday, primarily based at our Toorak Gardens site, however, may be required to work at our Stepney site.
About You
We are seeking an experienced, organised and proactive individual who is able to work collaboratively in a small team as well as independently. You are passionate about contributing to a healthcare environment and engaging in a dynamic role that supports hospital operations and enhances inventory management. You will
Have formal qualifications in a relevant field or be actively pursuing them.Have demonstrated experience in a stores, supply, or materials management role, or similar. Medical/healthcare experience would be advantageous, but not essential.Be proficient in the use of applicable information technology such as MS Office, email and internet, and Hospital operating systems (Wiise and Fasttrack advantageous).Possess excellent communication and negotiation skills and demonstrate ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Have strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines independently.Demonstrate willingness to embrace and demonstrate the values of Burnside Hospital.
