Join our collaborative team of multi-disciplined healthcare professionals dedicated to providing top-tier dental services to active ADF members.
About our Dentist role
As a Casual Dentist, you will hold the pivotal responsibility for delivering comprehensive dental services to patients. All our casual hours are Monday to Friday between 7am and 4pm. Ideally we would like someone who could be available for 2 days a week.
Duties and responsibilities include but not be limited to:
- emergency treatments
- routine examinations to preventative measures,
- restorations,
- minor oral surgeries,
- x-ray diagnostics,
- extractions,
- root canal therapies,
- design and management of prosthodontic solutions.
As the ideal applicant you will have:
- The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
- Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Dentist, General with AHPRA
- Minimum 2 years’ full-time post graduate clinical chair-side experience within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent)
- Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA
- A current First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certificate
- Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Defence security clearance
About the Robertson Health Centre
Robertson Health Centre is located on Robertson Barracks in Holtze, 15km east of the city of Darwin. The facility has a routine dependency of approximately 2,800 defence staff, with a large reserve component. The Barracks also accommodates an additional 2500 US marines every 6 months from May to September. The Health Centre provides primary medical, pharmaceutical, dental, physiotherapy, and mental health services, and operates a 22-bed 24/7 ward. Standard operating hours are 0730-1530, Monday-Friday.
