About the Role
Olympic Dam is currently recruiting for a Specialist Project Engineer/Project Specialist. Reporting to the Superintendent Major maintenance and Remediation, the objective of this role will be to develop project scope of work, front end loading and manage the Asset Integrity Remediation project portfolio.
Based at Olympic Dam, this role is offered on a 5/2,4/3 roster (with flexibility) either FIFO ex-Adelaide or residential.
Responsibilities of this role include:
- Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainable development.
- Inspect pre-identified defects and develop remediation scopes.
- Develop scopes of work and specifications for projects to be tendered out.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and monitor budgets versus expenditure on projects.
- Manage tank remediations and replacements.
- Provide quick technical solutions in the mechanical engineering space to keep the plant running until proper remediation is in place.
- Support and coordinate fixed plant projects that are too large for the day-to-day maintenance team to manage.
- Follow the 1SAP work management process, including cost management.
About You
- Mechanical Engineering qualification (recognized by Engineers Australia) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering field or Trade school with significant field experience.
- Experience in design review and compliance with Australian standards.
- Proficiency in Excel and Word; experience with 1SAP work management is advantageous.
- Experience working across the full project lifecycle.
- Ability to work autonomously to a high standard.
- Proven commitment to safety.
- Confidence to lead by example, hold yourself and others accountable, and coach others in ‘Safety Leadership.’
