About the Role
Our valued State Government client is seeking an experienced AO4 Secretariat to join the team on a temporary basis. Commencing April, the role will be for an initial duration of 6 months with possible extension. Based in Brisbane’s CBD and working 38 hours per week, the casual hourly rate will be between $58.02 to $63.59 plus super.
Reporting to the Executive Director, this key position supports the effective and efficient operation of the Executive Director’s office. You will be responsible for providing secretariat support, including preparing agendas, minuting meetings, and managing follow-up actions. You will also be required to develop and maintain systems to enhance office operations, manage correspondence, and maintain records. Additionally, you will provide Executive Assistant support, including diary management.
Key Requirements
  • Strong experience in a secretariat or executive support role, preferably in government or a large organisation;
  • Proven ability to provide secretariat support to boards or committees, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and follow-up actions;
  • A solid understanding of governance requirements for committee meetings;
  • Experience in executive support functions including diary management and meeting coordination;
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail; and
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
