Are you a medical professional with a passion for oncology? AHP Medical is currently working Tasmanian Health Services seeking a Career Medical Officer to join their team.
About the Role
This is a fixed-term, part-time position (up to 45.6 hours per fortnight) for five years, offering a work-life-friendly schedule - Monday to Friday daytime hours only, with no on-call or after-hours work.
You will play a key role in assessing and caring for oncology patients, working closely with consultants, nurses, and allied health professionals in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and reviews of oncology patients undergoing chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy.
- Provide ongoing care for outpatient cancer patients.
- Facilitate effective communication between the Cancer Centre and the hospital, including emergency and inpatient services.
- Perform ward consultations for admitted cancer patients.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and quality improvement initiatives.

Eligibility & Requirements
- General or current limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
