The Role
- Oversee food production and menu-based catering for residents in this reputable high end aged care facility.
- Responsible for stock control, budgets, rostering, staff mentoring, training & liaising with the client and other key stakeholders including residents
- Ensure accurate implementation of allergy awareness controls, and maintain a high standard of food hygiene, safety and cleanliness
- Create and maintain nutritional menus with a focus on healthy eating
- Lead and mentor your team, ensuring compliance with food safety procedures
The Person
- Minimum Cert. III Commercial Cookery
- Previous kitchen management experience in a similar role - strong leadership qualities, collaborative management skills and a passion for food
- Experience in HACCP, food safety and infection control with a good understanding of IDDSI and the preparation of texture modified meals
- Strong commercial acumen with good inventory management
- Previous experience in operating a catering operation with strict budgetary constraints
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive outlook and professional manner
- Possess a current National Police Check clearance, Flu and COVID vaccinations (or be willing to obtain)
