Patient Services Officer

NXT GIG is on the lookout for a dedicated and friendly Patient Services Officer to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that patients receive exceptional care from the moment they arrive until they leave. You will be responsible for managing patient inquiries, facilitating appointment scheduling, and assisting with patient registrations and intake processes. The Patient Services Officer will also ensure that patients' needs are met efficiently and respectfully, maintaining a positive and welcoming environment. Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients upon arrival, providing information and support as needed
• Manage appointment scheduling, ensuring optimal use of resources and staff availability
• Collect and verify patient information during registration and intake processes
• Address patient inquiries and concerns promptly, escalating issues as necessary
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations and organizational policies
• Coordinate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure seamless patient flow
• Support administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and data entry
  
  
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is preferred
• Prior experience in a patient services or healthcare administration role is advantageous
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and staff
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and office management software
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly
