Permanent full-time role available, 76 hours p.f.
Working with us
- Base salary ranges between $75,090 and $103,261 p.a. (HWF3).
- For 1 year will get you an isolation bonus of AUD$3,500. If you stay for 2 years you will get AUD$10,500… and for your 3rd year (and every year after that) you will get AUD$7,000.
- Providing 2 return airfares p.a. (inc. spouse/dependents) to the nearest east coast provincial city in conjunction with your recreation leave.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution.

About the role
Engage with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and their families enabling them to become informed about their diseases and the options for care available to them within NWHHS.
Support continued improvement of health services by always participating in quality improvement opportunities.
Requirements
- Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be recognised as Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.
- This position requires the incumbent to have successfully completed the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Certificate IV in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (PHC) or equivalent.
- The position may involve travel to various facilities or units within the North West Hospital and Health Service.
- C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
- Potential applicants are advised that the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 requires Queensland Health to seek a ‘working with children check; from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian prior to appointment to this position.
- This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
- A period of probation may apply.
