An exciting opportunity is currently available for an experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant (Cancer Care Coordinator) to join the Cancer Care Support Team at the Bundaberg Hospital within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. The Wide Bay area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 225,000 residents including several rural communities.

Your opportunity:
- The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) is a clinical leader, accountable at an advanced practice level for the coordination of patient centred clinical practice specific to delivery of cancer services for patients and their families/carers, and the provision of human and material resources within the Cancer Care Service.
- The CNC Demonstrates sound knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory and provides clinical leadership, advice and advocacy to a multidisciplinary team and is responsible for the facilitation and provision of quality and cost-effective nursing services which are consistent with contemporary standards, guidelines, relevant legislation and best practice within the Cancer Care Service.
- The CNC utilises data and information to ensure that the service is organised for safety and measures are in place to capture the standard of service delivery.
Temporary Full Time (76 hours p.f.) from date of appointment until June 2027

Our offer:
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $164,212 p.a., comprising salary between $132,562 - $143,924 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 7) (Temporary Full Time, 76 hours p.f., from date of appointment until June 2027) (Applications will remain current for 12 months).
