Finance Analyst

The Finance Analyst will assist the Finance Team in a fast-paced environment, supporting financial management and project delivery. Key responsibilities include managing accounts payable/receivable, general ledger tasks, and project accounting, while building relationships with executives and senior managers to understand VicGrid's financial position and needs.If this sounds like a program you want to be a part of, keep reading to find out some the things you will be responsible for delivering and some of the skills and experience you will bring with you. What you will deliver
* Provide advice to a wide range of stakeholders including project teams and senior managers, through the effective analysis of financial information, and interpretation and application of relevant legislation and accounting standards.
* Maintain General Ledger and Sub-Ledgers integrity through regular reconciliation and account reviews, recommending process improvements
* Assist with budget monitoring, ensuring projects and business units are managing their budget in line with legislated and policy requirements and collaborate with projects and business units to phase, load and track budgets throughout the year
* Support ad hoc tasks as requested by the Director, Finance and Senior Finance Business Partners.
What you will bring
* A Tertiary qualification in accounting or business is required.
* A professional accounting qualification (CPA or CA) or working towards an accounting qualification, is preferable.
* Demonstrated experience in financial analysis
* Strong knowledge of general ledger maintenance and reconciliation processes.
