About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Catering Manager we are actively seeking experienced Catering Assistants to join our team on a casual basis.
- Assist in the preparation and serving/plating of meals to residents
- Packing and unpacking food delivery boxes
- Assist in the preparation of meals
- Cleaning and tidy of up kitchen as per cleaning roster
- General vegetable preparation
- Packing away stores as required
- Delivering food boxes with golf buggy and general duties.
About You
To be successful for this role, you must demonstrate the following:
- A current Safe Food Handling Certificate
- Knowledge of good hygiene practices
- Good communication skills
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Professional presentation
- Current COVID Vaccination (Mandatory)
- Current Flu Vaccination (or willing to obtain)
- Aged Care or Hotel experience in Housekeeping/Cleaning & Laundry
- Excellent attention to detail
- Sound food preparation experience (preferably in an Aged Care environment)
- Knowledge of kitchen and cleaning processes, standards, systems and equipment
