The Role


We are currently seeking an experience and passionate Senior HR Business Partner for an initial 2-year fixed term contract. Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Providing coaching and guidance to frontline leaders as a subject matter expert across the full employee lifecycle – including performance, disciplinary, termination and risk mitigation. Where required, assisting in resolving post-employment disputes
  • Conducting grievance investigations and overseeing and supporting dispute resolution processes
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to ensure success across stakeholders, including field leaders and senior operations mangers
  • Union relationship management, including EA negotiation and consultation across other matters
  • Supporting key people initiatives such as leadership development; engagement; recruitment and retention; and workforce design and succession planning
  • Providing advice and support regarding enterprise agreements, relevant modern awards, and legislative requirements
  • Looking after a national remit, so inter/intrastate travel will be a necessity for the success of this role

What we are looking for

  • A minimum of 4-5 years demonstrated experience as HR Business Partner, ER Business Partner or ER Specialist within a high volume, trade services or blue collar environment
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of timely and business focused ER/IR advice, direction, and services
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Fair Work Act 2009 and NES, demonstrated experience with modern award interpretation, EA interpretation. EA negotiation experience highly regarded
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident, engaging approach and a natural ability to communicate
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet all deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Resilience and the ability to work in a complex and changing environment
