About the role

The Senior Platform Consultant provides expert guidance and strategic insights, ensuring the successful delivery and evolution of the platform. This role is responsible for advising on best practices, identifying opportunities for improvement, and driving the implementation of solutions that align with both business goals and technical requirements.

The Senior Platform Consultant collaborates to assess and optimise delivery processes, helping to resolve complex challenges and ensure smooth execution across Squads. By leveraging deep expertise in platform architecture and delivery, the Senior Platform Consultant plays a key role in ensuring that the Platform meets its objectives, maximises value, and operates efficiently.

What you'll do

• Help drive platform strategy, delivery, and continuous improvement
• Provide guidance on architecture, design, and best practices to align with business and technical needs
• Optimise delivery processes, ensuring squads are effectively coordinated and working towards goals
• Drive technical excellence by ensuring scalable, secure, and sustainable platform solutions
• Apply expertise in modern programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, Go) and software development best practices
• Bridge the gap between technical teams and leadership, ensuring long-term platform success

What you'll bring

• 5+ years of experience in technology, including mentoring and leading technical teams
• Deep knowledge of software development and coding best practices, including hands-on coding, code reviews, and software development principles
• Proficiency in version control (Git), unit testing, CI/CD, and software deployment pipelines to ensure efficient, high-quality code delivery
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and influencing skills across all levels
• Proven program and project management expertise
