Description:
Our client provides supply chain services in a medium-scale but fast-moving and complex environment, with its central distribution centre located in the western suburbs.
They are currently looking for a Warehouse Team Leader for a short-duration contract with a high likelihood of an extension or perm role.
In this role, you will lead a team of 15 staff involved in day-to-day warehouse operations and look for process gaps to fill and process enhancements to deliver better productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management and order fulfilment.
- Lead and support warehouse staff
- Maintain WH&S compliance and drive a strong safety culture
- Train and develop staff in warehouse operations, safety, and quality procedures
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to warehouse projects
- Foster a high-energy, team-oriented work environment
- Liaise with customers, transport providers, and key stakeholders
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in leading and supervising warehouse teams
- Forklift license (LF / LO) and First Aid certificate required
- Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive leadership approach
- Advanced mathematical skills and attention to detail
