Description:

Talent Focus are working with an industry leader in supplying laundry to hospitals and hotels all across Australia. We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee all operations, ensuring equipment reliability, safety compliance, and efficiency. This role is responsible for developing and implementing maintenance schedules, managing the lifecycle of machinery, overseeing budgets and contractors, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, you will lead a skilled maintenance team to achieve (KPIs).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations.
  • Manage the lifecycle of machinery and equipment.
  • Oversee maintenance budgets and contractor relationships.
  • Drive continuous improvement and efficiency in maintenance processes.
  • Lead and mentor the maintenance team to achieve operational goals.
Skills & Experience:
  • Relevant Australian Trade Qualifications in manufacturing, engineering, or electrical fields.
  • Completed apprenticeship in mechanical, electrical, or electronic disciplines.
  • Reconnect/Disconnect Electrical Licence (preferred).
  • Extensive experience in plant-level maintenance with significant leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) , LEAN , and modern manufacturing principles.
  • Understanding of IOSH/NEBOSH and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Expertise in manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain processes, with experience interpreting relevant industrial instruments and legislation.
  • Proven ability to manage maintenance budgets effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Perks of the position:
  • On average 10- 15 hours of overtime a week with afternoon shift loading, penalty rates and on weekends first 3 hours is time and a half double time for all hours after.
  • Full time position with benefits and a base salary of 130k
