Your role at St John of God Frankston Hospital
You will prepare, cook and serve all foods to agreed standards and assist other members of the Food Service staff in providing a high level of quality in both product and service to all customers, including patients, staff and others.
This position is varied over different shifts and will be responsible for the overall efficient functioning especially in the areas of delivery of service, clearing and assisting with the plating of meals and cleaning of all areas associated with Food Services. As well as efficiencies in both quality and productivity.
The Position

Prepare and cook food as dictated by the requirements of the daily menu.

Prepare food in accordance with standard recipes provided for the department.

Maintain adequate standards of cleanliness whilst working and present for work correctly attired.

Prepare coffee machine and work area for service.

Provide a high level of customer service.

Adheres to Infection Management Manual Policy and Procedures.

Follow hygiene practice at all times whilst working in the kitchen as per the food Safety Plan.

Maintain Universal Blood and Body Substances (BABS) Precautions at all times.
You will have a Chef or Cook Trade Certificate (Min Cert II in Cookery) and a current Food Handlers Certificate Level 1. Flexibility to be available for a range of shifts (morning and afternoon) across a 7-day roster is essential to this position.
To be successful, you will demonstrate experience in a café environment, including barista experience and you will have experience of working within HACCP guidelines. You will possess the ability to work within a team environment that promotes caregivers to utilise their proven skills and initiatives.

Salary: $36.48 to $38.27 per hour (includes casual loading) plus 11.5% superannuation
