Your New Role:

In this 9-month max-term contract, as the Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the Operations Manager—Service Performance in ensuring the consistent delivery of AustralianSuper’s Products and Services for Members and Employers. You will provide expert operational guidance and decision making for the Fund’s administrative teams and vendors, manage complex queries, and support changes to Products and Services.

Key duties include but are not limited to:

  • Support the Operations Manager – Service Performance to oversee key services provided by key vendors which include (but not limited to) Binding Death Nominations (BDN), Third Party Authorities (TPA), Power of Attorney (POA) and the Corporate Super Product (Select).
  • Provide SME input on employer transitions and ensure transition plans are successfully completed within agreed timelines.
  • Collaborate with other teams and vendors to ensure the consistent delivery of existing Products and Services.
  • Develop and maintain process documents for various activities within the team.
  • Drive resolution of operational issues pertaining to existing Products and Services.
  • Identify improvements to process and controls to drive efficiency and mitigate risk for members and employers.
  • Work with administrators and/or insurers in reviewing business rules, statements, letters and collateral to ensure they correctly reflect legislation, corporate employer agreements and processes.
  • Review of reporting provided by administrators.
  • Support the management of the team inbox and ensure enquiries are triaged and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Identify, manage and resolve operational incidents ensuring impacted members and employers are remediated within the agreed process.
  • Conduct audit and assurance activities of key processes to ensure outcome is inline with Fund Business Rules.

What You’ll Need:

  • At least five years’ experience in administration and operations.
  • At least three years’ experience within the Superannuation industry.
  • Experience with the management of Corporate Super Plans.
  • Effective and succinct communication skills.
  • An ability to comprehend and translate technical and complex documents & policies.
  • Collaborates to achieve better outcomes but is comfortable to work autonomously when needed.
  • Enjoys interacting with a diverse workforce across multiple organisations
