About us
We are a locally owned and operated business based in Buln Buln Victoria. We provide long term hire and maintenance of indoor plants to various businesses and short term hire for events. A casual position is now available for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to join our team. We cover an extensive area including Gippsland and Melbourne CBD.
Experience/Personal Attributes
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organisational skills and ability to complete tasks efficiently within a set time frame.
- Initiative and good problem solving skills.
- Adaptable with a positive approach to change.
- Have a genuine interest in this line of work.
- Previous Horticulture qualifications would be an advantage but are not essential as training is provided.
- Must have a current drivers licence and be comfortable driving a large van in Melbourne CBD.
- Applicant must be prepared to complete a WWCC, Police Check and pre-employment medical.
- Must be able to handle physically demanding work, moderate lifting and ladder work.
- Be flexible and able to accommodate out of hours/overtime work.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Watering plants
- Pruninig
- Fertilizing
- Pest control
- General cleaning of plants and presentation
- Performing client liaison while observing a high level of professionalism
- Deliveries/collection of plants
- Organising short term hire of plants for events
- Stock control
- Completing service reports/online inductions and relevant documentation
- Potting of plants and preparation
- Usual hours of operation are 7.30am to 4.00pm with some 6.30am starts required.
