About the role
Puls Engineering Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Welder, Metal Fabricator to join our team in Horsham, VIC. This full-time role is crucial in supporting our metal fabrication operations, where you will utilise your expertise to deliver high-quality welding and fabrication services to our clients.
What you'll be doing
- Perform a variety of welding tasks, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding, to fabricate and repair metal components and structures
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate and compliant fabrication
- Operate and maintain metal cutting and forming equipment, such as saws, shears, and benders
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects
- Identify and report any issues or defects in materials or equipment to ensure quality control
- Maintain a safe and organised work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols
What we're looking for
- Formal qualification in welding or metal fabrication, such as a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade
- Extensive experience (3+ years) as a Welder, Metal Fabricator, preferably in a similar industrial or manufacturing setting
- Proficient in a range of welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding
- Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes, techniques, and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot issues and find effective solutions
- Commitment to safety and a strong attention to detail to ensure quality work
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with the production team
- Some mechanical ability required
