Our client is a boutique law firm based in the Melbourne who are dedicated to providing exceptional legal services in family law matters. Their small but experienced team is committed to delivering high-quality, client-focused solutions while offering excellent flexibility and opportunities.
They are seeking a Family Lawyer with a minimum of 2 years post-admission experience (PQE) to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in family law and have the ability to manage their own caseload with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle a diverse caseload of family law matters, including but not limited to divorce, child custody and access, property settlement, spousal support, and domestic violence issues.
- Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients, guiding them through the legal process with empathy and professionalism.
- Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare for court appearances as required.
- Collaborate with other members of the firm to provide comprehensive legal solutions and support to clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and case files using our cloud-based practice management system.
- Stay informed about developments in family law legislation and legal best practices.
Requirements:
- Admission as a lawyer in Melbourne and a current unrestricted practicing certificate.
- Minimum of 2 years post-admission experience in family law.
- Strong understanding of family law principles and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
