Roadside Maintenance Trade Assistance – Help Keep Our Roads Safe & Well-Maintained
Are you hands-on, safety-focused, and ready to make a real impact in your community? We're looking for a dedicated Roadside Maintenance Trade Assistant to help maintain and improve our city's roads, pathways, and drainage systems.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist in maintaining roadside infrastructure, including stormwater drains, pathways, signage, and more.
- Operate and maintain plant and equipment safely and effectively.
- Support other teams with road and park maintenance when needed.
- Respond to customer service requests and liaise with stakeholders.
- Contribute to emergency response efforts when required.
What You’ll Bring:
- A commitment to safety and following best work practices.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Experience in maintenance, construction, or related fields (bonus if you have plant operation experience).
- A can-do attitude and willingness to support the community.

- A copy of a recent National Police Check (less than 3 months)
- A current driver’s licence

- The completion of a pre-employment functional assessment (paid for by the council) might also be required.
- If applicable, evidence regarding the right to work in Australia will need to be presented.
