ConsultANZ is looking for a Piling Design & Estimating Engineer to join a leading piling and deep foundations company in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-performing team, contribute to innovative construction projects, and play a key role in project planning and cost estimation.Key Responsibilities: Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborating with the operations team to ensure design requirements align with project needs.
- Developing piling and deep foundation designs based on soil conditions and specifications.
- Analyzing geotechnical reports to determine the most suitable piling solutions.
- Preparing cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Proposing cost-effective design solutions while maintaining structural integrity and safety.
- Conducting site investigations and utilizing design software such as Wallap, Piglet, and Plaxis.
- Creating and updating Excel templates for cost estimation and project planning.
- Designing and estimating various piling methodologies and retaining walls.
- Reporting directly to the Pre-Contracts Manager.
- A tertiary qualification in engineering with 2-5 years of experience in a related role.
- Experience working with top-tier contractors or large design firms.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Wallap, Piglet, and ideally Plaxis 2D/3D or similar design tools.
- Strong cost estimation and budget management skills.
- Excellent communication skills with a practical and hands-on approach.
- Ability to effectively engage with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Competitive salary package: $80k - $100k + Super (negotiable based on experience).
