About the role

Come work in our busy production kitchen, a cook fresh facility producing 60,000+ meals each month. Be part of our dedicated team of 40 kitchen staff working together to produce high quality meals for patients.

  • Contribute to a smooth and efficient kitchen operation within a fast-paced hospital setting
  • Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation, including washing, chopping, and portioning ingredients
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to strict hygiene and safety standards
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, mixers, and slicers
  • Support with receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies

About you

  • At least 2 years’ experience in food production in a commercial kitchen
  • Skilled in chopping ingredients, following recipes, and preparing high-volume meals
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety practices in a commercial kitchen environment
  • A team player experienced in working in fast-paced environments
  • Must be able to commit to 32 hours a week (students visas not applicable)

In this role you will be based at St Vincent’s private hospital, Darlinghurst.
