Join our Product and Programs Team as a Business Analyst and be at the forefront of delivering digital initiatives that make a difference! In this critical role, you will collaborate closely with solution design, business, and technical teams to create solutions that meet business requirements.
As a Business Analyst with Vocus, you will drive business outcomes through insightful analysis and business requirements. You will conduct current and future state analysis to understand impacts on systems, processes, and people, driving meaningful change. Additionally, you will support the development, refinement, and prioritization of technical requirements and stories in collaboration with technical and functional analysts and developers. You will also facilitate workshops with various Business and IT stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
What you’ll be doing day-to-day
- Collaborate with business representatives, owners, and key stakeholders to assess business context, objectives, and needs, delivering business discovery outputs such as context analysis, current and future state analysis, and gap analysis.
- Provide analysis inputs to inform decision-making on the prioritization of initiatives and develop the BA approach with support from Senior/Lead or Principal BAs, identifying necessary tools, techniques, and deliverables.
- Elicit, document, and validate detailed business requirements with business representatives, and work with business and technical teams to break down initiatives into customer/end-user focused components that have business value.
- Perform current and future state analysis to identify gaps, inform solution design, and develop solutions that meet business needs or improve processes, ensuring impacts to technical and business operations are analyzed and risks are assessed.
- Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders, utilize standard BA tools and techniques, support user acceptance testing, and enable technical and business operational handover activities, while also developing user guides, process documentation, and training content as needed.
What you’ll bring to this role
- Experience and Expertise: Aminimum of 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in projects/programs is essential, ideally with a demonstrated understanding sales related functionalities and salesforce.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with tools like Lucid or Visio and process mapping techniques such as BPMN, context diagrams, and customer journey mappings. Experience with platforms like Salesforce, ServiceNow, or similar CRM, Billing, and Digital platforms is desirable.
- Telecommunications Sector: Experience in the telecommunications sector (2+ years) and exposure to Telecom value chain processes (Sales, Delivery, Assurance, Billing).
- Communication and Collaboration: Ability to facilitate workshops with various Business and IT stakeholders, confidently communicate and negotiate with stakeholders at different levels, and develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders. Excellent communication, documentation, and time management skills are essential.
- Agile and Adaptability: Ability to learn and adapt quickly, operate with an Agile BA mindset, and use Agile BA tools and techniques. Experience working in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, with a proactive approach, showing initiative and pragmatism, and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
