About the role

Our client is looking for a Structural Engineering Intern who can assist in the design and analysis of structures using computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conducting structural calculations and analyses to ensure that structures meet safety and design standards.
  • Creating and reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Performing site inspections and field measurements to assess existing structures and identify potential issues or problems.
  • Assisting in the preparation of project proposals and cost estimates.
  • Collaborating with other team members, including architects, contractors, and other engineers, to develop innovative solutions to complex design challenges.
  • Keeping up to date with industry standards, codes, and regulations related to structural engineering.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, stakeholders, and project team members to ensure that project goals are met on time and within budget.
  • Conducting research to inform design decisions and support the development of new structural engineering techniques.
  • Participating in professional development activities, such as attending conferences or workshops, to enhance your knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

  • Must be at a senior enrolled full-time in a bachelor’s degree program, majoring in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering and other related fields.
  • Familiarity with CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Revit
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
